Oak draw-leaf table and chairs, circa 1910.
The large dining table is made of solid quarter-sawn oak panels for the draw leaf top, and a refectory style turned base with baluster legs for the base.
- Length, closed 1070 mm or 42″, Length, open 1900 mm or 75″, Width 750 mm or 29 1/2″.
- Height 760mm or 30″.
The table is sold with a set of 6 chairs consisting of 2 carvers and 4 diners made of quarter-sawn Oak. The original seat cover has not been altered. The chairs’ front legs and backs are in barley sugar twist and the chairs’ framework is in very good condition, with no sign of movement at the joints. The carvings on the backrests are all complete with no missing parts. There are some smaller surface scuffs, acceptable given the age of the pieces.
